The weather did not cooperate this past weekend , but the beginning to Restaurant Week and some fantastic Halloween parties and dinners made us not mind the weather quite so much.

There’s a lot to be excited about this weekend:

Restaurant week is in full swing and ends Sunday. Dinner prices are $27.95 for three courses, so reservations are a must. To check for participating restaurants, click here. Also, be sure to verify participation Saturday night as some restaurants may opt out after 7PM.

Saturday and Sunday this weekend will see the Second Annual Taste North Fork, hosted by the Long Island Wine Council and the East End Tourism Alliance. There will be free hop-on-step-off shuttles all around the Fork from noon-5:30PM as well as additional service from Orient and NYC, not to mention all sorts of special events all weekend. Saturday marks the second of North Fork Table & Inn’s cooking classes. They are on Saturdays in November from 1-3PM, and the rest will be on the 15th, and 22nd. There are only 30 spots, and with prices at only $90pp ($300 for all four), you should call to hold your place and learn from the

Let’s also not forget the daily specials of the  7 Days of Bistro 72,  and Wednesday Happy Hour at North Fork Oysters in Greenport, from 5-7PM.

Lastly, Tuesday is Veteran’s Day. Martha Clara will have their Vines & Canines Educational Vineyard Walk at 10AM and live Music with The Beatles Tribute Band Penny Lane from 1-4PM.
