It’s December: Only three weekends left before Christmas, four until 2015.

The season is quieting down and heating up. Notable events for this weekend include Greenport’s Shellabration all weekend. Saturday in Riverhead brings Santacon, so put on your Santa suit and head out to Riverhead.

Also this weekend:

First & South’s Prohibition Party on Friday. Food and drink specials as well as dancing – be sure to dress the part. On Saturday, Lieb Cellars at the Tasting Group will have a tasting and lecture by T’Jara winemaker, Russell Hearn. Also on Saturday is Sparkling Point’s Eat Drink and Be Sparkling event with “Sunday Brunch” by Jedediah Hawkins. Sunday has A Mano pairing McCall wines with a special 5-course tasting menu. Martha Clara has pet photos with Santa to benefit Kent Animal shelter. Chef Noah concludes his Winemaker Sunday series with a tasting dinner paired with Wolffer wines by winemaker Roman Roth. Lastly on Sunday, Sparkling Pointe is hosting a magical operatic holiday concert with Belle Voce.
