We hate to break it to you, but there are only three weekends left in August. That’s right, three!
The good news about there only being three weekends is that the celebrations are getting better and better and this weekend is no exception. Just keep in the back of your mind that Harvest East End, our celebration of the coming harvest is just a week away, on Saturday the 22nd. Get your tickets now, while you still can!
Our Calendar is the best place to look for upcoming events to plan your time here, but here is a sample of what’s happening in the coming week:
Friday: is a great start to the weekend. Pindar, Diliberto and Sannino Bella Vita Vineyards are some of the wineries open late. There’s live music at Bistro 72 and Seaside Grill, pizza at Roanoke Vineyards Love Lane tasting room, and sunset fun at Castello di Bourghese. As always, North Fork Table is busy all day with farmer’s market, lunch truck, champagne garden and restaurant.
Saturday: Music is everywhere Saturday. Jamesport, Lieb, Cooperage Inn, Clovis Point and Pindar are just a few places that will be turning up the ambiance with live performances by some amazing local musicians.
Sunday has One Woman Wines celebrating the day with her annual Ferragasto Bash (the Italian celebration of August). Castello di Bourghese brings the dogs with a Canine Classic. Sannino Bella Vita Vineyards lets guests be winemaker for a day and Paumanok Vineyards has oysters on their patio. Bistro 72 is celebrating their 5th anniversary with a crawfish boil and New Orleans-style music. Live music is easily found at many other locations, but if that’s not your thing, Mattebella and McCall are two of several wineries that always pour a fantastic time without added entertainment.
Monday is usually the day everyone dreads, but here on the North Fork, it’s actually a great day to try some new things. Restaurant Alure has a lobster bash for lunch and dinner. Bedell Cellars, they save their events for weekdays and today they will have live music and food trucks. First & South celebrates Monday evening with their weekly pig roast, and PawPaw Pop Up takes over Bruce’s Cheese Imporium to serve a menu complete with things you never imagined were edible much less delicious.
Tuesday: Shinn has self-guided tour and tastings (all week), North Fork Table lunch truck is always a staple, while Bedell Cellars all have similar events to Monday. Restaurant Alure switches gears from lobster to Greek with their Tuesday Santorini Bash: Greek food and music.
Wednesday: Little Creek Oysters celebrates Hump Day with happy hour, First & South honors our lifeguards with food and drink specials for the whistle-twirling sentinels of the waters, and Bistro 72 has live music.
