This weekend marks the first weekend in October and the last month considered “In Season” here on the North Fork.

There are several great events to note, including but hardly limited to Lieb Cellars release party for their Rumor Mill hard cider, the Pour the Core hard cider festival, and of course, Noah’s Winemaker Sunday dinner.

Needless to say, there is no shortage of things to do this weekend.

Eating and drinking aside, October is arguably the most beautiful time of the year to visit the Fork: The air is cool enough for a sweater or light jacket, the leaves are a riot of color, and each evening’s sunset competes with the previous to take your breath away.
